Job Description

Cennox is seeking a Field Project Manager in the Minneapolis, MN area. The company specializes in commercial construction and renovation services for financial institutions. The Project Manager will oversee commercial renovation projects, support site superintendents and employees, coordinate with sub-contractors, and assist with daily office activities. The ideal candidate will have project management and construction experience, interior finish expertise, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. This role requires night and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage projects from conception to completion, including site surveys, budgeting, proposals, client negotiations, subcontractor management, scheduling, and close-out.
2. Define scope of work and deliverables, forecast resources, obtain permits, draft budgets, manage costs, oversee contracts, and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
3. Coordinate efforts among architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
4. Order materials, manage staff schedules, handle invoicing, and address client escalations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with commercial interior projects such as wall finishes, painting, flooring, millwork, electrical, and saw cuts.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings proficiently.
• Clean DMV record, pass drug test and background check (back to age 18).
• Reliable transportation and flexible hours for after-hours and weekend site work.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management is a plus.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, budgeting, scheduling, negotiation, and cost control skills.
• Attention to detail and computer literacy, including MS Office and construction software.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work indoors and outdoors, stand for long periods, and travel extensively.
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, reach, and see clearly (corrected to 20/20 vision).
